Well, we heard some EXCITING news today.  Koleta’s little brother proposed to his girlfriend yesterday and she said YES.  We are so excited for them.  Congratulations Luke & Lindsey !!

We’ve had a really busy past few weeks.  Abby sure has enjoyed staying at home today & playing with all her toys.  Here she is playing on the rocking elephant her Hatfield Grandparents made for her.

After riding on her elephant, she decided to ride on her stick pony.

And just for fun . . . a close up picture.

And her favorite toy of the day . . . the TV remotes.

At lunch time Abby wanted a picture with Daddy . . . CUTE !!

Well, our last week hasn’t gone quite as planned.  Andy was sick on Monday & wasn’t able to keep Abby while I went to the Capital to study grammar for 3 days.  So, Abby and I left Andy at home and went to the Capital.  Fortunately Abby went with me because she came down with a stomach flu on Monday night.  We were already in the Capital, so I was able to take her to a Doctor right away.  Andy kept getting worse & worse, so Abby and I returned home on Tuesday morning with some medicine for Andy.  Today, Andy and Abby are both doing better.  Abby’s back to 100% & Andy will hopefully be back to his old self again pretty soon.

Here’s our sick little Abby on the drive back home on Tuesday.  She was only happy when she had the cell phone up to her ear.

By Tuesday night Abby was starting to feel better again.  She was running around the house after her bath time.

We found this rhinoceros beetle in our flower bed.  Andy was impressed !

We had a WONDERFUL Fourth of July !!  We started off the morning by going to eat breakfast at one of the restaurants in our little town.  Little did we know where the day would end up taking us when we left the house this morning.  While we were at breakfast we ran into Guzehein (one of Andy’s best friends).  He’s usually pretty busy, but he had the day off today so we spent the ENTIRE day with him.  It was fun.  After breakfast we went by the tree nursery to see if they were giving away any more trees.  They were & they gave us 300 trees (for free) for our project site.  They gave us 300 trees earlier in the week, so now we have 600 new trees to plant out at the project site.  We didn’t want to leave the trees in the car for too long, so we decided to go ahead and take a trip out to the project site.  Guzehein had never been to the site, so he was excited about seeing it.  So, we set off on our hour and a half trip to the Goat Project.

While we were there, Guzehein and Abby played with our newest baby goat (a little girl born last night)

After we dropped the trees off at the project site, we showed Guzehein the new house we are going to be moving to in October.  After that we headed home & finally arrived back in town around 3 PM.  We went by the post office & we ended up having a bunch of packages !!  That REALLY made our day !!!  After that, we headed back home and started working on dinner.  We made chicken kabobs, broccoli & cheese rice and chocolate cake.  Mmmm !!  Guzehein came and joined us for dinner.  After dinner, we decided to sport the Fourth of July shirts that we got in the mail.  There was even an extra shirt in the package for Guzehein.  The lights in our house are really dim at night, so we didn’t realize Abby still had food from dinner on her nose.  So, she has an orange nose in most of the pictures.  O well.

Even our dog Molly decided she wanted to do something fun for the Fourth of July.  She decided she wanted to spread the stuffing from her pillow all over the floor.  We thought she looked pretty funny.

After a long, fun day everybody was tuckered out !!

Can you tell that I’m up to something?

Abby figured out that she can stand on the canned goods and then reach the top shelf.
