We’re changing the web address for our blog.  It is now www.wanderingtexans.com.  Our parents want to view the website at work, but they can’t because we call it a blog.  That’s why we’re changing the name.  Sorry for the change.  If you have this in your “favorites” you might want to change the web address.  Thanks!!   Andy & Koleta

Abby and her Puppy Molly

Well, Great Grandma Gallion sent us some Cheese Balls in the mail.  Abby absolutely LOVES them !!  She hasn’t figured out how to get the container open with her hands, but she sure figured out how to open it with her teeth.  Mmmmm, they are delicious !!

Well, we have some GREAT news !!  We found a new house to live in.  We can now live a LOT closer to our project site.  YIPPEE !!  We’re really excited about the move.  We still have quite a bit of work to do on the house before we can move in, but we’re excited that we found a house that will work for our family.  It’s a 3 bedroom house, but one of the bedrooms will have to be turned into a kitchen.  It has a downstairs office for Andy & room to build a guest bedroom & bathroom on at the back of the house.  Exciting !!  Hopefully we will have it ready to move into sometime around October.

Abby’s learning to eat all by herself.  She’s still a little messy when eating with a spoon, but she’s getting the hang of it.  Here’s a picture of Abby feeding herself all on her own for the very first time.

Abby NEVER falls asleep in our arms.  The only way we can get her to go to sleep is to lay her down in her bed.  If she’s with us, she wants to play.  You can imagine our surprise the other day when Abby fell asleep in our arms.  We both decided we needed to take a turn holding her while she was sleeping.  It was so much fun!

Abby really enjoyed her visit with her Gallion Grandparents.  Abby was extra sad to see them go because she loved having people to play with ALL the time.

Grandmamma and Granddaddy would swing with her . . . .

They colored with her . . .

They played blocks with her . . .

And they even let her drink their Diet Coke.  Mmmmm !!

We had a picnic out at our project site & Abby loved playing with the baby goats.  While we were there she learned how to make the sound that the goats make.  It’s really funny.  How many little kids do you know that their first animal sound is that of a goat ??

Here’s Abby making her goat sound to the baby goat.

Mom even enjoyed holding the baby goats.

Mom loved the baby goats, but she didn’t care much for the salty coffee that she was served.

Abby’s two favorite guys in town are her Daddy & her Uncle Guzehein.  Abby likes to hang out with Uncle Guzehein at his fruit stand.

She likes to hang out and rest with Daddy at home

There’s not much to do at night in our little town, but if you come & visit us, we will take you out to see the hyena’s at night.  Here’s some of the hyena’s we saw while Mom & Dad were here.

We had a wonderful vacation with Mom & Dad.  We were able to see lots of animals while we were gone !!  There were baboons at our hotel, zebra’s, wart hogs & dick dicks at the wildlife park and crocodiles at the crocodile farm.

Abby loved to play with the Baboons that came up to the restaurant window.  She wanted

to give the baboon a kiss.

It was fun to try and get family pictures in front of the zebra’s.

We saw this dog walking down the road.  This is something you don’t see everyday.

Abby was tired of sitting in her car seat, so she was glad to get out and have a little Mommy/Daughter time.  We saw some pretty scenery on our drive.

Abby really liked the food we had on the trip !!  Banana Milk Shakes & Vegetable Soup.  Mmmmm !!

The first picture is the view just outside our hotel room.  The second picture is Ajora Falls.  We stopped by to see the falls on our way back home.

The Waterfalls were soooooo beautiful !

Dad and Andy have had a great time out at the project site.  After all their work was done, they spent a little time hunting.  There are some wild wart hogs near the site, so they tried to get one.  The day before, Andy shot one, but it ran off and nobody could find it.  Today, all the guys were there with their spears to make sure that the hog didn’t run away.  Unfortunately, the bullets didn’t work, so they didn’t get to shoot a pig.  O well, maybe next time.

While the guys were out at the project site, two new baby goats were born.  Exciting !!

We took a trip into the Capital yesterday.  Abby got to try out the new car seat her Grandparents brought her.  She loved facing forward in the car !!

On our way to the Capital we saw this house.  We’re looking for inspiration for what color we should paint our next house.  What do you think about these colors?

This morning, Mom decided to cut Dad’s hair.  Abby wanted to be a part of all the action.  I think she was wondering if Grandmamma was going to cut her hair as well.

Abby and Granddaddy enjoyed a nice breakfast out on the patio.

Mmmm, Granddaddy this is delicious !!

Abby is enjoying having her Gallion Grandparents in town.  I’m not sure who’s enjoying the visit more, Abby or the Gallion Grands !!

Dad’s learning to like salty coffee.  Mmmmm !!  He drank 3 whole glasses !!

While Dad is enjoying his salty coffee, Mom’s playing in the pool with Abby.  They had a great time !
